Japanese Culture Experience Program
The Japanese Culture Experience Program (JCEP) is a specially designed group program for the students in Elementary and Secondary schools in the Greater Vancouver and nearby school districts. Many schools have been using JCEP as their social program. The program usually runs for two hours. Either morning or afternoon session is available. The JCEP is scheduled 10 to 12 times (total up to 24 sessions) per year. For the program schedule and details, Please contact our Program coordinator. Since seats are limited for each session, group registration is accepted on the first come-first-served basis.
- Cha-Doh (Japanese Tea Ceremony)
- Shaolinji-Kempoh (Traditional Marshal Art for self-defence)
- Ken-Doh (Japanese Marshall Arts with Samurai-Sword)
- Nihon-Buyoh (Traditional Japanese Dance)
- Kimono-Kitsuke (Japanese Kimono Dressing)
- Shu-Ji (Japanese Calligraphy)
- Origami (Japanese paper holding craft)
- Japanese Language phrases and songs
- Playing with traditional Japanese toys

It is impossible to offer this kind of unique program having many community support including the instructors, volunteer helpers and in kind donations. The JCEP has been received a partial financial assistance By the Government of the British Columbia through the Direct Access Grant. |
