Vancouver Japanese Language School and Japanese Hall (hereafter VJLS-JH) is a volunteer oriented non-profit society incorporated under Society Act in British Columbia. VJLS-JH has the charitable status with the registered charity number BN 119281996RR0001.
Operation and program deliveries have greatly been assisted by Government Grants, Financial assistance from foundations, monetary donation from both corporations and individuals, and big donations of volunteer time and other in kinds donations from members and friends. Our century old proud history has been the receient of such many good deeds, for which the Directors and members of the VJLS-JH express heartfelt appreciation.

For the past several years, and for this new fiscal year starting from September 1, 2007, the Direct Access Grant of the Government of British Columbia was awarded to thr VJLS-JH for the program developments and deliveries of Japanese Language Instruction and Japanese Cultural Introduction to children and youth in the Greater Vancouver. The roof repair costs for the old heritage building are partially assisted by the Minor Capital Grant from BC Government. |

The Royal Bank of Canada Foundation has also awarded their Grant again this year for the Youth and Child Development programs of VJLS-JH. |

In the past three years, ITO Scholarship Foundation provided financial assistance to the Children’s World for the purchase of classroom tables and chairs for toddlers, as well as teaching toys. |
