- Beauty & Health Booths/Workshops 11~5 pm
- Community Fashion Show 3~4 pm
The Vancouver Japanese Language School & Japanese Hall (VJLS-JH) brings together health and beauty professionals, organizations and artists for a day of education, art, food and fashion teaching us how to make holistic connections about health and beauty in our day-to-day lives. As a major highlight, Emu-Goto, a renowned local artist and fashion designer, will showcase her kimono-inspired clothing collection in a specially produced inner and outer beauty community fashion show from 3~4 pm.
The “Feel Beautiful” Beauty and Health Community Fair is the kick-off event of a one-year long “Feel Beautiful” Capital Fundraising Campaign. This Campaign consists of a series of fundraising events and projects to raise funds to undergo major renovations to our 1928 Heritage Building. This will enable us to expand our current “Children’s World” Preschool program and to create a full-time daycare program.
It is our overall vision to make VJLS a bustling and vibrant centre for culture, arts and enriched childcare in the downtown Eastside. By creating a healthy and beautiful School, we will be able to create a beautiful and strong Community. Please support our goal to transform, revitalize, and beautify the downtown Eastside.
