The educators at VJLS are committed to a holistic approach to second language communication and learning. This approach begins with upholding high standards of language instruction for all ages and is enriched with immersion in Japanese cultural customs and arts.

Over the past century, we can proudly say that we have a solid track record for teaching excellence and student success. VJLS students and graduates have gone on to utilize their linguistic and intercultural people skills to become successful and well-respected business and community leaders and citizens of the world.

Message from our Head Facilitator

We, the teachers at the VJLS, are committed to a holistic approach to language education which combines solid language instruction and exposure and immersion in Japanese customs and cultural arts. This kind of educational approach truly deepens and enriches the intercultural education experience.

Our wonderful new facility provides the optimal learning environment for young and older students alike. Students learn in sunlit classrooms, can play outside in a custom-designed playground, and have access to a rich library and spacious auditorium. Over our 100 years of history, we have inherited an enduring legacy of nurturing students to become business and community leaders and citizens of the world. Let us celebrate and build on our proud heritage to educate the students of tomorrow.
